Tournament Format

This event will be a 2-slot RCQ for SCG CON Washington D.C, which means 1st and 2nd will receive an RCQ invite. 

We will be playing Outlaws of Thunder Junction Sealed Swiss rounds, and then a cut to top-8 draft that will be timed.

We will be playing rounds of Swiss as recommended by the tournament rules. Following the Swiss rounds, the top 8 players overall will draft in single-elimination rounds.

Participants must register their sealed pools as written in the Magic: the Gathering tournament rules section 7.5. 

Participants will have 20 minutes for deck registration and 30 minutes for deck construction.

Tournament Schedule

Doors will open at 9:30 am

Registration ends at 9:55 am. 

The player meeting will commence at 10:00 am with our head judge Nick Babcock, followed by the start of deck registration.

Prizes

1st – 30% of Store Credit pool + Exclusive Winner Promo + Top 8 promo + RCQ Invite
2nd – 20% of Store Credit pool + Exclusive Winner Promo + Top 8 promo + RCQ Invite
3/4th – 10% of Store Credit pool + Top 8 promo
5-8th – 7.5% of Store Credit pool + Top 8 promo

The first 64 players will receive an RCQ promo. 

Store credit prizes will be scaled with attendance. But the major milestones will be:

20 players: $440 pool
30 players: $850 pool
40 players: $1257 pool
