DESCRIPTION:This year AFK Games will be hosting a White Elephant! If you are not familiar with this style of event\, let us do a quick rundown! \n1). Each player brings one wrapped gift to contribute to a common pool.\n2). Players draw numbers to determine the order in which they go.\n3). Players sit/stand in a circle or line where they can see the gifts.\n4). The first player selects a gift from the pool and opens it.\n5). The following players can choose to either pick an unwrapped gift or steal a previous player’s gift. Anyone who gets their gift stolen in this way can do the same – choose a new gift or steal from someone else. A gift may only be stolen twice.\n6). After all players have had a turn\, the first player gets a chance to swap the gift they are holding for another opened gift. Anyone who had a gift stolen may steal from someone else. Assuming that person has not been stolen from yet. When someone declines to steal a gift\, the game comes to an end. \n\n Sign-up will be encouraged\, so we have an idea of how long the event will take.\n Gift should be around $20. Not required to be purchased from AFK Games\, but it is appreciated.\n Gift can be for Magic: The Gathering\, Miniature Games\, Board Games\, General Geekdom.\n If you are planning on doing something that is not a sealed-in package item\, or you think it may need approval. Please speak to Dan.\n Ages 10+ with sensible maturity\, since gifts may be taken. DESCRIPTION:AFK Games will be hosting a gigantic game of 40k vehicles and monsters in support of the Holt Community Food Bank. \nThis will be a 40k Apocalypse-style game with some adjustments for playability and balance. \nPlayers may bring only vehicle and monster units\, but from any faction/codex. \nPlayers may bring any number of units and teams will be built to make it all as even as possible. \nEntry will be $1 or one non-perishable food item per 10 power brought. \nPlayers will earn 1 raffle ticket per $5 donated. \nAll food and money taken in will be donated to the Holt Community Food Bank. \nIt’s worth noting that the food bank can do more with money as their buying power is greater and they have better knowledge of the specifics of their needs. \nAll units a player brings from a faction must be the same sub-faction. \nThere will be no detachments\, warlords\, or relics. \nPlayers will start with 10 CP and gain 1 CP per turn. Players may buy 1 CP for $1 whenever the need arises.
